After Your First Visit

The tooth and its surrounding gum tissues may be somewhat tender for several days as a result of manipulation during treatment and also the condition in which you came to the office.

Take 600mg ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, or generic) 4 times a day (meals & bedtime), for 4 days regardless of symptoms. Rinse with hot salt water. A level teaspoon of ordinary salt in a glassful of tap water, as hot as you can comfortably tolerate, is the right combination. For faster relief, rinse every hour on the hour.

Do not be surprised if you cannot eat with this tooth for a few days. However, use the tooth as soon as you can since function makes for more rapid healing. Brush your teeth as usual.

Should pain become severe or swelling develop, please call the office. Remember, we are as near as your telephone.

In the case of an emergency you can reach a doctor by calling Hatboro Phone Number 215-674-5383.
