After Your First Visit

Your first phase of the root canal has been completed.  The tooth is currently sealed with temporary filling material.  Please do not eat solid foods or drink hot liquids until the anesthetic has completely worn off.  This will allow for proper setting of the temporary filling material and prevent you from burning or biting yourself while you are still numb.

Your tooth may be sore for 3-4 days post procedure, which is common during the healing of the tooth.  Take 600mg of ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, or generic) and 1000mg of Tylenol (Acetaminophen) every 6 hours as needed for pain.  If an antibiotic prescription was given, please take the medication as directed until it is completed.

Should pain become severe or swelling develop, please call the office.

If you have an after hours emergency, you can reach

a doctor by calling Hatboro Phone Number 215-674-5383.
